So, after lots of saving, and starving myself in order to save, I have managed to buy a Canon EOS 600D.

I can't really afford to buy food or anything for the rest of the month, but hey, minor detail, right? I am so excited to finally own a full DSLR and I can't wait to learn how to use it properly. I have a 300+ page manual and I'm trying to understand the myriad of new photography terms and techniques that I never had to deal with with a hybrid model - a little daunting, but even more exciting. I feel like a little kid on Christmas or birthdays

Once I've learned the basics of this camera I'll be getting a 60mm (I think?) macro lens, as the stock lens is a standard 18-55mm lens. I ask my photography watchers to please bear with me while I learn the ropes here - and I'm sure I'll have some lovely images in no time
